Today I made some banana bars that are low in fat and whole wheat. . . delicious!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- 1/2 cup White Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Applesauce
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 Egg
- 1/3 cup Milk
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 1 very ripe Banana
- M&Ms, or finely chopped Walnuts or Whatever you life!! (OPTIONAL)
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
- 1/2 medium Banana, mashed
- Mash Banana and Lemon Juice together
- Mix the Flours, Applesauce, and Sugar for 1 minute
- Beat in Egg, and mix in Milk, Baking Soda, Salt, and Cinnamon
- Spread in a greased 9x13 inch pan
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until center comes out clean
- Combine all frosting ingredients and frost when bars are cool
- Put M&M's on top or Sprinkle with Walnuts if you would like
- If any are left over than store in the refrigerator
