Glenn and I had a great weekend. It not only was Easter and a time we remember Christ truly lives (which we should acknowledge year round), but we had the opportunity to listen to our Prophet and other general authorities. What a great way to spend Easter weekend.
Glenn and I had started a tradition April of last year. For General Conference we have waffles with ice cream for breakfast. This is a tradition Glenn is rather fond of. We kicked off Saturday morning with our yummy breakfast.
During the Saturday morning session, we dyed some hard boiled eggs. I absolutely love hard boiled eggs. You can put them in so many things, make deviled eggs, or just eat them straight up. Glenn, on the other hand, will eat them, but they are not his favorite thing. He likes them best if I put them in something or make deviled eggs with them.
Then, of course, came Easter morning!I would tell you that we did each other's baskets, but we would spoil it for not giving credit to the Easter Bunny.
Happy Easter
Glenn's Basket
Ignore how tired I look.
According to Glenn, a Leprechaun visited me too.
We of course enjoyed morning session of conference. We had left over waffles from Saturday, and we did some prep for our Easter Lunch/Dinner.
I decided to get creative with my deviled eggs this year.
Our Easter Dinner
We made Resurrection Rolls too!
Overall, it was a great Easter weekend. We got to celebrate the day with General Conference. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Through Him, we can be whole again. We can be with our family forever. We can be perfect. There is much more to the Atonement, but I just want everyone to know that I know our Savior Lives. In my church we do not use the cross as a symbol. People sometimes find it strange or do not consider us christian because we do not have a cross on our building or anything of that sort. Being Christian is believing in Christ. Our church states that in our name. . . The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We do not use a cross for our church or a symbol because it represents the death of Christ. We love to celebrate his life. He did die for us and we are so grateful for the reasoning, but it is because He had risen that we can truly obtain the blessings of His sacrifice. He Lives. I am grateful for that every day of my life.
