I love pumpkin patches. There is just something exciting and magical about going to pick out your pumpkins from a patch instead of one of the bins at the grocery store. Sure, the grocery store is typically cheaper, but it is the memories that make the pumpkin patch experience even better. Johnathan is in love with all things pumpkins.
Check out this video of his all time favorite book:
We even went to the dollar tree and bought foam pumpkins to make the matching faces from the book. He loves it!
October has been even better too us with pumpkins, Johnathan's love and excitment every time he sees a pumpkin never gets old.
So of course, we ventured out earlier this week to get our own pumpkins and can't wait to decorate them.
So to continue our pumpkin excitement, here is a quick and easy treat your little pumpkins can help make in the kitchen:
Pumpkin Patch Pudding Cups w/ a Ghostly Surprise
-Graham Crackers
-Chocolate Pudding Mix
-White Chocolate Chips
-Pumpkin Candies
1) Make pudding according to package directions
2) Break graham crackers into crumbs
3) Once pudding is set, mix in about half (maybe less) of the graham crackers
4) Mix in white chocolate chips (this is the ghostly surprise in the pudding cups)
5) Use clear plastic cups, fill about half of the cup with pudding, poor some graham crackers on top, fill the rest of the cup with pudding and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on top.
6)Place pumpkin candy on top. Enjoy!
The amount of ingredients you will need will depend on how big your cups are and how many people you are serving.
This of course was a great activity with my little chef. Johnathan loves being in the kitchen and helping with whatever he can.
