These next few weeks or so we are to identify what Shakespeare's view on what True Love is. As we had a discussion in class I felt a little embarressed when we were coming up with words that described true love and I had absolutly nothing to say. I guess I really don't understand or know what True Love is. Part of me has to ask if it really is there. Sure people say they love each other all the time or they say someone is there soul mate, but what does that all really mean. I know what it is like to develop feelings for someone, but I can not say if that means I am in love or if they are my True love. Over they past week we had to come up with our own idea of what true love is. I keep having the idea of The Princess Bride in my head, but our teacher said we could not use that as our own definition.
I started my research and found that maybe just maybe True Love is when you care for anothers happiness more then your own. It has to do alot with trust and faith. I am a dreamer more then anything. I think that a writer (such as myself) lives in a world of dreams and so my idea of a true love is a childish one. When two people have true love for each other they plan for adventures and they go out and do them together.
Here is maybe just maybe my idea of true love:
