Memorial Day Weekend

It is nice to get out of Rexburg for a bit, but it is always nice to come back home. Glenn and I went to Lemhi, Idaho to visit Glenn's brother Wes, Julie and their kids. They live out on a Ranch. I know I could never live on a ranch and be that far away from an actual city, but it was a nice little get away.

We arrived on Friday evening and after dinner Glenn and I went out for a little drive around the Ranch.

 Saturday we started the day going over to the pond, so Glenn could do some fishing. I tagged along an brought my book to read while he did so. It was nice to just sit outside with no distractions and read a book.

Afterwords, we went and shot some gophers. First time to shoot a gopher. It made me said at first, but then it became somewhat fun. Between Saturday and Monday, I shot a lot. Glenn explained to me the reasons for shooting the gophers on the Ranch, but it was still said to see them die. While we were out and about, I also took some pictures of the buffalo. Good thing my camera as  high zoom quality.

Sunday we had a nice relaxing day and in the evening we went for a drive up to the cell towers. It was really pretty to look out and see God's creation.

 Finally on Monday, we went out and shot some more gophers, enjoyed some lunch and a little bit of relaxation. We headed back to Rexburg and took it easy the rest of the time. It was a great memorial day weekend. Hope everyone else had a good time too.
