It never hurts to treat yourself to something yummy and satisfying. I don't know about you, but I can never be satisfied with the 'cheap' stuff.
What am I talking about? you ask.
I am talking about plain old Hershey's chocolate or, just in general, waxy chocolate that America sells.
I am one that has always been particular about my chocolate, even before I served my mission in Germany. I never liked plain milk chocolate. If I was going to have a candy bar with milk chocolate, there had to be a lot more going on in that bar--such as, nuts, caramel, creamy goodness, or whatever other kind of bars they have out there.
My kind of chocolate was always dark chocolate or anything that had peppermint/mint flavoring to it.
I then served my mission in Germany and discovered the heavenly supply of German/Swiss chocolate. It was heaven. Nothing taste waxy. It is all creamy and melt in your mouth satisfying. Unfortunately, that kind of chocolate can be a bit pricey in America. Nevertheless, I can never indulge myself in the cheap milk chocolate bar that America supplies us with.
If I were to go out and buy chocolate, it would be Kinder, Milka, Lindt, Toblerone, Rittersport, Dove, or anything along those lines. This makes things very difficult for Glenn, because I only like the more expensive chocolate. I don't go out and buy any of it normally. I normally never buy chocolate in general, but there is always a time that a person needs to just step out of normality and treat themselves to something delightful.
There is no real point to this post, but the idea that I just had a yummy Dove dark chocolate piece melt in my mouth--satisfying.
So, go out and indulge yourself in something you don't get very often. It might keep your sanity in check if you have all your kiddos home for the summer now.
