Last week, Glenn and I joined Glenn's family at his sister Allison's house (a couple hours from Rexburg) for a little reunion.
The journey started on Thursday as everybody made way to Rexburg to go to the Temple. Since Glenn still had class until about 1:45, Jenny (sister-in-law married to Glenn's brother Allen) and I ventured out to watch all the kiddos while everybody else went. I offered my apartment for us all to watch the kids and had to quickly baby/kid proof it because we never really have kids over at all. It was a fun a little adventure. Jenny and I took the kids to the park to play and then enjoyed another 10 minutes at the apartment before everyone came back from the Temple.
We then all headed out to Steadman's waterslides. Glenn and I were a bit more behind then everybody else and did not change and do the water-slide (that is ok though, not a huge fan of them). We did, however, do a zip line there. That was really fun.
We did enjoy watching everybody else go down on the slides though. A few times, everybody grabbed each others tube and went down as a big blob.
The next day was fourth of July.We went to the parade in Malad. Some of the Mackay clan were in the parade. The rest of us stayed behind and caught all the candy that came our way. It was fun to see the twins, Joshua and Justin race for it.

Brayden was driving the Firetruck and Wes, Katie, Weston, McKenzie and Ethan and Mason were riding along. |
Later that day was just relaxing and chilling. And then the fireworks were that evening in Malad. I Jenny stayed home with her kids and I stayed behind with her. It was great just to talk and then start watching 1776 together. Glenn took the camera and took pictures of the fireworks. They seemed pretty cool. I just prefer if I am not right under the boom. I enjoy watching fireworks from a distance where I can barely hear them. The show seemed cool though and Glenn said it was super loud. You could even feel it in your body.
Finally, Saturday we went out and Jet Skied, which was something I had on my bucket list. It was super fun. Later that evening we went to a small Rodeo that Allison and Brayden were helping out with. It was nice out, but as soon as we got home I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Sunday we went to church and finished the time off with slide shows and then headed back home to Rexburg. It was a nice little get away, but it is always great to be back home and get back to normal schedule. Glenn only has two and half more weeks left of school. Woohoo!
