Swing, Swing, Swing

Glenn and I went on a little adventure this last weekend. Friday night we packed up our bag and sleeping bags and went on the Married Student Retreat up at Badger Creek (45 min. outside of Rexburg). It was an adventurous time. We arrived at Badger Creek and each couple had their own little cabin. Since this is a place own by BYU-Idaho, the cabins were designed for groups of people. Each cabin had six twin size beds (bunk beds). I guess Glenn and I could have had a lot more room sleeping, since we were the only ones in our cabin, but we adventured out and had a nice sore neck in the morning for sleeping on Glenn's arm.

The night started out with a pulled pork dinner and then some workshops. The first one was getting your spouse through an obstacle course. The object of these were to demonstrate working together. For the last one, I ended up giving Glenn a piggy back ride across the room. The funny thing is that he freaks out if I try to do that when his eyes are open, but when he was blind folded, he told me he trusted me. Confusing?!*

We then went outside and did a ropes course activity. It was super fun. We ended the other night visiting and getting to know the other couples over a camp fire and smores!

The next morning we had breakfast and then a professor from the Home and Family department on campus came and spoke to us about the importance of spiritual, recreational, emotional, and physical intimacy. We ended the time at Badger Creek and going out on the giant swing at the ropes course. It was super fun. It was just nice to get out of Rexburg for a little while.
