When I was 6-8 years old, we lived in South Carolina. I had a couple really good friends from church, and I would go sleepover at there house sometimes. One of our favorite things to do during sleepovers was get out our sleeping bags and watch the Nickelodeon show 'Are you Afraid of the Dark?'
This television series was aired in the '90s. The show consisted of a group of middle school aged kids who referred to themselves as "The Midnight Society." Once a week this group of kids would get together around a camp fire in the woods, and one member told the group a scary story. While the story-teller told the story, it would be displayed on the screen for the viewer to see the story play out. Most of the stories ended with a happy ending, but a few do not.
Some of you maybe got a flash to the past with me bringing up this show. Well, Glenn had never heard nor seen this show before. With that being said, Glenn and I popped some popcorn, poured a bowl of m&m's and built a fort. We not only did that, but we set up my laptop and sat under the fort watching 'Are you Afraid of the Dark?'
Glenn thought this was super fun; in fact, he keeps telling people that his wife came up with an idea to build a fort. I think I made his day.
