We started out adventure off by leaving Rexburg pretty early Thursday, February 12. Glenn wanted to go down to Provo (BYU) to attend the STEM Fair. He visited with a lot of companies about internships and such for next year. The one that stood out to him the most was Garmin. After the fair we got back in the car for a little drive to Ogden. This was exciting because our really good friends Josh and Aubrey just moved there in January, and we got to see them. We had dinner and visited for a bit. They both went to their ward Temple night because they have not been since their little baby was born. So we got to babysit. I guess that was a good trade since they were letting us spend the night and drive us to the airport in the morning.
Little Samantha was so good to babysit. That is until the blow out. It was actually pretty funny. She was so fussy, and Glenn tried giving her a bottle and bouncing her. This is when he realized the big yellow spot on her back. She had a blow out. It was actually funny to see Glenn's reaction when this happened. I told Glenn he should be the one to change the diaper. I have had plenty of times where I have changed diapers because of babysitting and such; however, Glenn has not. He put her down and began the process. When he got her little bum wiped and the new diaper in place under her, I immediately had to jump in because Glenn looks at me like 'I am completely lost on how to do this.' I would have to thank Aubrey and Josh for letting us babysit because I think it was good for Glenn to at least change one diaper before our baby comes. Ha Ha.
The next morning we headed to the airport and had a direct flight to San Antonio.
It was great to be home for a while. Glenn engaged Neil in some biceps. It was pretty funny.
Glenn and I were also there on Valentines Day. We did nothing special. Afterall, I see Valentines Day as a pointless holiday. However, my mom informed us that our wedding cake topper was still in the freezer. Well, we were one month away from out one year anniversary anyways, and we were not planning bringing this back on the plane. We instead cut our wedding cake topper and shared it with my parent's and Neil for our Valentines. Glenn and I are both not real cake eaters, but we did enjoy the cake my sister had made. After all this time in the freezer, it was still really good and moist.
The next day adventure, we headed off to Temple, Texas. My mom was going to be going back to the hospital for a round of chemo the next day, and my sister was planning on blessing her newest addition the day before. It was good for my mom to get out and be able to meet EmmaLee for the first time. We had fun too. Hannah and Lydia sure enjoyed having their Uncle Glenn play with them.
EmmaLee looked beautiful on her blessing day. She is a sweet addition to the family. I am glad we were able to go and Glenn got the opportunity to be in the blessing circle.

The picture below is the only one I got with Neil and I. He seems to want to eat my head.
Monday my mom went back to the hospital for chemo and Glenn and I took Neil and met up with Dawn and Rich for some yummy lunch at Longhorn Cafe. I failed to get a picture (I just forgot). However, it was great to see them and visit. It is not often you have such awesome bosses for years and stay friends with them for years after you no longer work for them. We than went and spent some time at the hospital with my mom in the afternoon.
Sadly Tuesday came and Glenn was going to fly back to Utah and then drive home to Idaho. Glenn had to get back to school. Since I don't have school, I stayed a week longer than Glenn to visit with my mom while she was in the hospital and help out with Neil. It was sad to see Glenn go because this is the first time since August of 2013 that we have been separated. We both missed each other a lot.
It was good to spend time with my mom in the hospital though, and see some more friends before I headed back to Idaho.
My dear friend Jessica came by one evening to say hello, and I got to meet her little girl. It was so great to see her and visit. Especially since I can't predict when we will see each other again since she will be joining her husband soon in England.
I also was able to go visit with my awesome friend Jordan. It was great to catch up and talk to him. He as always been one of my best friends since High School. Sorry, I failed to get another picture.
To end the adventure in Texas, my mom finished her week of chemo and came home Saturday before I was going to leave on Tuesday. On Monday before my trip ended, Jaimie and Mckenna came by to visit. I got to meet Jaimie's little ones. The little boy is 5 months old, and they are planning on adopting him. The little girl is 2 months old, and Jaimie gave birth to her.
The trip was a good get away from Rexburg for awhile, but I was ready to get back to Glenn. I think Glenn was even more ready for me to get back.
And, he thought he was being clever by putting the chocolate milk in the nice glasses to serve with the girls scout cookies. I wish I lived closer to home, but it is always good to be with Glenn. Maybe sometime in the near future we will make our way back down their to live for awhile. Glenn *Hint *Hint!
