Finished!!!

A while back I bought stuff to make a little baby blanket. It has colored squares on one side and animal minky fabric on the other. Glenn and I got a great deal on a sewing machine from a garage sell that was still in good condition for only $10. It did not come with a power cord or peddle, so we bought one for $25. Not bad for only spending $35 on a sewing machine. I had some problems with the machine at first because I had not touched a sewing machine since I was like 16 or 17 years old. After weeks of not touching the machine and this blanket just waiting to be made, I finally found some youtube videos on how to properly thread the machine and learn a bit more about the tension. I would practice on scrap fabric, but the stitching kept on bunching up. I had no idea what was wrong. A few more weeks went by of not touching the machine. I decide to watch the youtube videos again, and everything was set up correctly. I tried again. . . it worked.

I finally worked on this blanket this week and finished it today. There were times I had to do some unstitching because the alignment was way off, but I finally got it done. There may be a few flaws in it, but I think it turned out great. I love it. Only 5 more weeks until our due date; however, we have 3 to 6 weeks when this little guy can come any time. Crazy!
