Dear Johnathan,
You are 10 months old and always on the move. You ignore us
sometimes when you know you are not supposed to be doing something. You have
the highest pitch squeals ever. You are, though, very sweet at times.
You love to pull yourself up on everything. You started
walking along the furniture this month and are trying to stand up without any
support but have not mastered that at all. You are always so busy. Sometimes we
can’t get you to slow down. You love being outside and get so excited when we
bring out the sunscreen bottle. You know that means you are going outside. You
love going on bike rides and swinging on the swings. You recognize the park now
and light up before we even get to the swings.
You give us kisses now. Sometimes with your tongue hanging
out. You love books and being read to. Your favorite books is “It’s Pumpkin Day
Mouse.”
You are very much a mommy’s boy, but you also get so excited
when Dad comes home. You seem to think he is your jungle gym. However, some
reason you picked the most not affectionate person to be your continues cuddle
buddy (me). You just have to be touching me. The moment you touch me, even if it is barely, your fingers go in your mouth. This is your comfort thing.
You are, for the most part, a very happy little boy. You
have two bottom teeth. You love to eat. Your favorite food is oatmeal and
grapes.
You still love bath time. You start kicking your feet in excitement
before we even get to the bathroom. You also love it when we brush your teeth
with the toothbrush.
You clap for everything. You are starting to wave a little.
You are starting to be playful with other babies your size. You thing they are
the best ever. You are always snapping little girl’s bows in their faces
though. You love following walking babies around. You also love glow sticks. If you are upset or wanting something different, we can just hand you a glow stick to make you happy again.
There are so many things we can keep going on about, I am
sure. We just love you and how adventurous you are, considering your parents
are very adventurous too.
Can’t believe we are coming up on a year soon!
Love, Mom
