11 Months!

Dearest Johnathan,

We can't believe we are nearing on one year since you joined us. Everyday is a new adventure with you. You are a spunky, people loving, hyper, sweet, and sometimes (too often) whinny little boy. Some days are harder than others. Some days I wish I could go some where else and not be a mommy for a day or so. Those days are not nearly as many as the days I enjoy your existence and charm. We would not trade a single one of those hard days because at the end of the day, we could not imagine our family without you.

Every month you seem to have blossomed even more, and this month was no exception. You are getting around more and more and more. You climb everything. And I mean everything. A couple days ago you surprised us and stood up completely on your own without holding on to anything. Since you did it once, these last couple days you keep on doing it more and more. I would be very surprised if you are not walking by your birthday.

You bring joy to our life. Your excitement and curiosity for everything and everyone around you brightens the room up. You love people so much. In fact, everyone thinks you are this perfect little angel. You are not fooling me though. They don't spend the entire day with you. You sure like to put on a grin and a show when we are around others. I hope you will continue to take that little charm with you the rest of your life.

Your first word has been mommy, but you only say it when you are wanting out of your crib or I am walking away from you, and you start whining while following me. You mostly just jabber on and on about things (who really knows what).

You continue to love the bath and water in general. You hate avocados. You love any and all types of bread (must get that from me). You continue to love being outside and swinging and going on bike rides. Your favorite toy is that purple hand that your Grandpa Anderson bought you a while back. Your continue to love books, especially "It's Pumpkin Day Mouse."

You still love to have cuddle time with me and most of the time prefer me to cuddle with than dad. Though, you have started cuddling a little more with your dad. He really likes that. You love playing with him when he is home. You have started giving kisses without any prompting to do so.

Recently, you have taken a great liking to the blanket I made you. It now has to be in the crib with you any time you go to sleep. I think it is great that out of all your blankets, you choose the one I made :-)

We can't wait to see what this next month brings. Only one more until your birthday! We have many adventures planned for the coming few weeks.
