According to my 'What to Expect' app, little girl Mackay is the size of a cauliflower. The question is 'how big of a cauliflower are we talking about?' haha.
Well this is it I am 28 weeks today. Bring on the third trimester! This pregnancy seems to be going a bit quicker than when I was pregnant with Johnathan.
I thought I had it easy with Johnathan compared to other people. I had very little nausea and never got sick (unless I ate pizza --which is Johnathan's favorite food. haha). I also never showed until some time in my third trimester because of where the placenta was located. With the location of the placenta, I rarely ever felt movement from Johnathan. The worse I had with Johnathan was rest leg syndrome.
This baby is bringing on a whole different ball game, and it is even better! I have no idea when I would have found out I was pregnant if I never took a pregnancy test. I took a test only because I was almost a week late with my cycle and Glenn and I were planning for baby #2 anyways. From day one though, I have had zero nausea and sickness (NO MORNING SICKNESS!!! ) I have felt great through out this entire pregnancy. When I finally started showing some and feeling some movement, it finally hit that I was pregnant because I had no other symptoms. . . except HEARTBURN! Heartburn is the one thing I have had and tums do not do me any justice. They say if you have heartburn, your baby will have hair when they are born. I am about to give birth to Cousin It or Chewbacca if this wives tell rings true. Other than the occasional heartburn though, growing belly, and movement inside I probably would not know I was pregnant based on how my entire pregnancy has been so far.
I usually get a work out in every day. I do the youtube videos from BabyFit by Amy. Check her out her prenatal workouts. They are great for all trimesters. Along with that, I usually get a 1 mile walk in or a 2 mile bike ride in. It is a good thing my little buddy Johnathan loves walks and bike rides too!
Johnathan gets excited with the concept of baby girl. He knows there is a baby in my tummy and sometimes he will get his little baby doll and give it a bottle or rock it. We will see how it is once she is here though. Johnathan graduated to a big boy bed and loves it. He did not get out of bed for the first time last night!! woohoo!
My emotions with a second kid varies. We are excited to meet baby girl, but I sometimes feel overwhelmed with the idea of having two kids. I am sure will will adjust to it though. God does not give us anything we can not handle.
No names yet and probably won't be until baby is here. Even if we did have a name, we would not tell you it. We don't name the baby until they are physically here.
It seems like the time crunch now that I am officially in the third trimester. Luckily the baby is not due until after Halloween, after all, we all know how I feel about that Holiday!!!!!!!!!! The most (in my opinion) wonderful time of the year--FALL!
Yay for Fall babies :-)
