4 Months Gone By!

Dear Colette,

Wow! Four months is already here. You are growing fast. You continue to make your way around a little because of how wiggly you are. You manage to move a few feet away while on your back. When on your tummy, you really try to push yourself to move and get very frustrated when you don’t. You don’t like how you seem to get further from your toys or they get further from you.  You can and have been rolling from your tummy to back and back to tummy.

You love attention. You recently discovered your voice and love to do high pitch screams until some takes notice of you. You also have a high pitch squeal when you get excited. You also discovered how to blow bubbles with your mouth. You love watching Johnathan and really try to move when you see him. Johnathan likes to sit and hold your hand, but you do hold still as long as he would like.

You enjoy bath time. stories, and eating. You sleep very well as long as you have that pacifier. Next time I write you a monthly letter, the pacifier will be history. We are sleep training you and plan on ditching the pacifier. You rely and love it a bit too much for our liking.

You are very playful and concentrate very hard when being handed a toy. Your focus is very determined when trying to get your hands just right.

You took your very first (little) road trip. We went to Temple, TX to see your cousin Lydia be baptized and Julia be blessed. You did not like the car ride all that much (mostly because the pacifier did not stay in your mouth.

This is the age I really start enjoying being a parent. You are getting more of a personality and are a joy that lights up the room. We love having you as part of our family.

Looking forward to the next month!

Love, Mommy
