Month 3 - 72 Hour Kit

Welcome to month 3 of Building your 72 hour kit in 1 year! Our packs are coming along great, and we will be as prepared as we can be before we know it!

Your life is IMPORTANT. Make it a PRIORITY! Be PREPARED!

Recap of the last couple months--we have water, cash, tuna fist, can opener, and paper towels all in our pack.

What are we putting in our packs for month 3?

  • Emergency Blankets--You want something that won't take up your entire pack. Taking that favorite, big fluffy blanket will not make the cut. These Foil Mylar Rescue Bankets are perfect. Stick a couple in your pack for warmth and possible shelter. There are so many other emergency blankets out there. . .

  • Cash--Last month we added $10 cash to our kits. Add another $10 to each kit. If that is too steep to add to everybody's kit, just add $5 or what you can to each kit. Remember. Keep the bills small.

  • Bar of Soap--Add one bar of soap to every pack. This will be used for hygiene purposes, but also keeping your hands clean while handling food!

  • Toilet Paper--Determine what your family really needs. If you buy the the super thick rolls, you may be able to get away with just 1 or 2 rolls in a pack. If you buy the smaller rolls, you may want 3 or 4 per pack.
